Headsets in carbon frames

Might just be a big girl here and scared of damaging a £2,500 frame, but how do you go about pressing the cups in a carbon frame? Any difference to normal?

I just can't see carbon having the same tolerances when it comes to flex and worried I may feck it up and hear 'that' crack :(

Say your bit, slag me off, laugh at the idiot, but we all have our first carbon frames

  • £2,500 frame.

Go and get a pro to do it for 1% of its value.
  • Got to agree with Chunkers there...

Chances are that your LBS will do it very cheaply (maybe even for nothing) if you buy the headset from them.

There is nothing special about it, but as above, just get a shop to do it!

I have the tools ( ok bodges but can buy the tools ) and means, but still a bit paranoid when carbon is involved.
Already thought about getting the shop to fit it for free but if it's a mail order jobbie ( and it might be ) I won't be there so no assurances some spotty 16 year old didn't wodge it in with a mallet and a wooden plate.
