Two of us did the Ranger Trail yesterday!!!
Absolutely fantastic. Started from the YHA at 04:00 Reached the summit at 07:00!!
Vert, very, very difficult walk/ride up in the dark. Low cloud at the top added to the fun.
Fantastic Downhill/Technical.....great views as we rode through and out of the clouds!!!
Fast, fast, fast in some sections. Rocky and lethal in others!!!

Just to clarify......We were down and back at the YHA by 08:00. Way before the voluntary ban comes into force. We met two walkers towards the bottom of the Mountain, they were friendly and wanted to hear about our ride!!!! Great stuff.

You need god quality lights and some decent kit/clothing is required. It was very cold at the top.
Some experience of Walking/ Mountainbiking at this level is a must, especially in the dark!

Good luck.
