Is there a list of cycle clubs/ groups anywhere?

Got myself a road bike today (put my MTB away) and looking for some group rides in and around Wilmslow

Cheers

PS needs to be a slow beginners group

will keep a track on the suggested sites …. I think I need to get a bit more used to the road bike (found it a little twitchy which limited downhill speed) and also need to improve my fitness. (Did 16 miles this morn in 1 hour 8 – didn’t really push myself hard enough)

I'd say 90% start here. No problem with just coming along for a ride, or 2 or 3! No pressure to join at all :)

Sounds ok for an intro ride.
You'd manage 16 mph riding in a group, only thing is they are more like 30 miles but still sounds like you'd be ok.

We're another alternative - based over towards Warrington.

Saturdays 25-35miles easier pace more suited to relative novices, Sundays 45-50 hillier & a bit faster.

See website in my sig below for details.
