Carrera Vulcan Disc Spec or Giant Boulder?

I'm looking for a budget front suspension mountain bike around £250. After much searching i have narrowed my choice down to the Carrera Vulcan Disc (£263 in Halfords) and the Giant Boulder (£250 in local cycle shop). I'm 6ft 4" tall so need a fairly big frame and would be keen to buy from a cycle shop rather than online so at least i can get problems resolved fairly easily. I would probably use the bike mostly on roads and for light off-roading. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Have a look at the Carrera Vengeance in halfords on sale at £250 half price,

Had a look at a 20" frame in Halfords earlier today and i think the frame might be a bit on the small side. Certainly looks like a good spec for the money though! Would the vulcan not be sufficient for what i need it for?0

Seems the Vengeance only goes up to 20".
The Vulcan is a good bike for the price, I've rode one and found it to be better than you would expect, certianly up to it for road and smooth trails. I have not seen a Boulder but they do get good feed back on here.0 -
It still might fit you fine, I'd try one.0
