Ok its not a squeak, but more of a constant high pitched drone.

My Sectuer is under 2 weeks old and this noise started yesterday about 5 miles into my ride. So i thought i would cycle over to evans where i bought it to get them to look at it.

All they said was it was the rubber cone on the axel opposite side to the cassette. All they said was it was common, but didn't provide a solution.

Can i take it off, or is it a weather seal protecting the bearings?

how can i fix it, as it is totally un-ridable in this state

Might be worthwhile putting some grease where the rubber seal contacts the hub. Sounds dry to me.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
