I am trying to recreate my stolen 19" 2008 Kona Kula with a 2010 Kula frame and am trying to buy a handlebar and stem to match the specs of the 2008.

I have found the handlebar and stem on the 2008 were:
stem is WTB CXC
Handlebars WTB CXC riser

But no more info than that.

I am trying to find out:

- Handlebar : width
- Handlebar : The height of the rise
- Stem : length /angle.

Any help would be much appreciated.

  • The 2008 Kula Deluxe came with FSA Bars and Stem. The stem was a whopping 120mm. The bars are pretty wide - model was XC 282. Here's a photo.

I quickly changed the stem on mine to a shorter 90mm Race Face Deus XC. Always meant to change out the bars too, but never got around to it.

Sometime around this weekend I'll have stripped that bike down, rarely ridden 2008, as I'm building up a Santa Cruz Superlight. Will have the 19" Scandium Kula Deluxe frame, the original 120mm FSA stem and FSA seat post up for grabs with a Race Face BB and FSA Orbit headset. If you want any of it I bought the bike in 2009, new, and haven't put much miles on it.
