installed new pads now brakes feel spongey

i just bought a rockhopper comp and the brakes were making some wierd noises, some internet research showed i wasnt alone(avid juicy 3's) and a recommendation was the kevlar pads from superstar components. delivered and instaled today, bedded them in as advised, down hill, grippin to the point before the wheel locks up, about 15-20 times.
however now the front feels really spongey, do they just need more use to wear in properly? the biting point also feels further back in the level pull if that makes sense? will tat improve with use?
thanks in advance

Tried repositioning the caliper now that you have the new pads in there? Loosen the bolts and let the wheel spin so it finds its new centra position etc?0

sounds like you have not set the caliper up correctly.
re set it."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Juicys feel naturally spongey to me anyway0

I would not recommend Kevlar pads if you are trying to reduce noise, they take more effort to bed in than OEMs and they wont last 5 mins in wet conditions. But they are very good in the dry.0

Care to explain where you got this theory from?
Kevlars last very well in the wet, its organics that don't0 -
kevlar are organic."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
