Im going to be doing some early mornings in Richmond Park and am looking for the fastest possible route from the Highgate area.

Im figuring on hitting the embankment at Aldwych but am not sure of the fastest route to the park after that?

Could one of you South Westerners please advise?

Cheers

Rob

I believe the 'official' route is along the Embankment and round onto NKR; follow that down to Putney Bridge. On the otherside, turn right along Lower Richmond Road, then cut across Putney Common to arrive at the junction with Roehampton Lane. Along Upper Richmond Road, then left into Priory Lane, and along to Roehampton Gate. Happy to be corrected though.

What RJS said. That's the route I take.
    FCN 2-4.

Here's my usual route from Tufnell Park. Had to make it walking directions because cars can't take the right turn across Parkway in Camden.

I must try going though Barnes one day. I tend to go over Putney Bridge to get between Shepherd's Bush and Richmond Park since the roads are supposed to be wider and the traffic better.

    Thanks all

Il be using the route at around 6am ish so will use trial and error to work out a favourite based on traffic etc but those give me some pretty solid options.

 I take it this is RAAM training. I believe it's somewhere around 40 minutes, but you'd better check with CJ and co. I take about 50 minutes from Carshalton to UTS, so that sounds about right.

For an FCN 1, RP-Upper Thames St will be comfortably below 40 minutes.

The "official route" worked really well so thanks gents. Managed to knock out just over 50 miles pre work and still get in early so I am pleased. The park is very peaceful at that time - Im used to the weekend traffic fest.
