Morning :)

Whats the white grease that seems to be used on every bearing / axle requirement. Just seen it used on the WMB DVD guides in the new mag. Need some for my Epicon GLOC axle as it's dry.

Cheers

not always it depends on the make and type.

there is grease call white grease which is bike grease, but any cycle grease will do.

Thread lock can be blue or white. Guess you could find out if it is threadlock or not - is it slippy?

It varies. Greases come in all colours.
I don't know if most bikes just use generic white grease, but Marin reccomend using Molycote 111 on their bearings/pivot assembly, which is just trouser-brown-mess-inducingly expensive.
Luckily, I have "found" some. I'm going to have to replace the bushing on the fox float before long, so the whole lot will have to be re-greased I guess.

Lithium grease is to be avoided for most bike applications. Only really any good in bearings. Static stuff, do not use.
