Was going to try the route around Box Hill, but wasn't sure where the best places to park was.
Never ridden it, but had a look at the car park at the top of the hill, but didn't really want to finish with a peddle-fest at the end of the trip.
Any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure Rykers cafe at the bottom of Box Hill has a car park. Box Hill gets pretty busy this time of year - just a thought but you might want to consider Leith, Holmbury and Pitch Hills nearby. There's some awesome riding to be found

Depending on where you are based, why not try the train to Boxhill & Westhumble, and just ride out. Nothing like getting on a train covered in mud/dust/ sweat and greeting grumpy hill walkers with a cheery hello! .

As previous posters have mentioned Box Hill itself can get very busy at weekends and there can be some conflict with walkers.
However there is still plenty of riding to be found on the surrounding hills including; Mickleham Downs, Ranmore Common, Headley Heath and Norbury Park.
We regularly lead 2.5 - 3 hour rides of mostly singletrack descents and bridleways ascents in the area. We avoid most of the walkers by taking MTB trails that have been cleared by the local trail builders.
