As the title says really. This includes ones you no longer wear because they are a bit stinky, but don't want to throw out, old club jerseys and long sleeve winter jerseys.

I've only got 5 and that includes 2 winter ones :)

Erm.... lets try for the full list

6 long sleeve (inc 1 club jersey)
    9 short sleeve

Everything apart from the 1 club and 1 short sleeve were cheap deals, end of line etc. All in use.

    I'm on a roll now:

    3 good sets bib shorts
3 cheapo sets bib shorts for turbo use
3 pairs cheapo shorts for turbo use
    2 sets winter-only long bibs
    1 long sleeve TT skinsuit

That's a big pile of kit when I add it all up :?

    5 cycle tops
2 baggy shorts with lycra inserts
    1 lycra shorts
2 full length lycra bib trousers
    2 cycle jerseys
    2 long sleeved base layers
    1 overshoes
    2 cycling shoes
    4 gloves (2 fingerless, 2 full length)

To add a bit of flavour, how often do you change said tops? I get at least 2 days use per top. They smell by the 2nd day but that 2nd days sweat soon mops that up.

I've probably more cycling jerseys than I have formal shirts

    2x Campag Heritage jerseys
    4x Castelli Prologos (3 S/S, 1 Thermo L/S)
    1x Cervelo Test Team S/S
2x Nalini team jerseys (Caisse + Liquigas)
    1x Descente Raleigh Creda
    2x Specialized team jerseys
    1x Adidas Climacool

5x Castelli Dome Duo bib shorts
1x Castelli Cervelo Test team '09 bibs
2x Castelli Cervelo white TdeF '09 bib shorts
    1x Campag Heritage bib shorts
    2x Specialized winter tights
    1x Castelli Gregario tights.

Might stretch to two days out of a jersey but baselayers, socks and bib shorts go straight in the washing basket.
  • Four jersey's including my pride and joy.........a white Bianchi world champion jersey that cost me £62. When i can't wear it any longer, I'm gonna frame it as it's a work of art and anyway, I'll never be a world champion, well...not at cycling anyway. Come to think of it, not at anything

Six, since yesterday, when my new Team Sky jersey turned up in the post.

And I'm quite proud of the of the fact that I've never paid more than ten pounds for a cycling jersey.

Where do you get a Sky jersey from for less than £10 then?

I went on ten Sky Ride locals, the tenth being last Sunday. They give you freebies as you complete multiple rides. The jersey is for the tenth.

So far I've had a Team Sky cap, a t-shirt and a hoodie.

Freebies or not, I would still have gone on the rides, so the jersey is just a nice bonus.

Incidentally, the Sky jersey is not my cheapest piece of kit. That accolade would have to go to a Scott jersey I picked up in TK Max. It was supposed to be eight quid, I paid with a twenty pound note, and the cashier gave me two tenners and a fifty pence piece as change.

5 = not enough, though one is a crappy MTB one with weird shoulder patches (probably not crappy and weird if you're an MTB-er). And one has a tear in the shoulder from a chute, but its a lovely Giro/Gazzetta jersey by Santini and i can't bear to bin it.

5 jerseys and 2 pairs of shorts.

It's not enough commuting 5 days a week. I have to hand wash the shorts and alternate them.

Too many. My partner cycles as well and she has expensive kit as well. One wash day I calculated there was over £700 of kit on the washing line and that kit was not 25% and obviously didn't have shoes/glasses/helmets incl.

A quick run thro for her would be
    2 x Assos SS13 womens jerseys
    1 x " " " sleeveless jersey
    2 x " Intermediate jerseys (womens)
    3 x " waist shorts (black)
    1 x " " " (blue)
    1 x " Three quarter bib shorts
    2 x Assos winter tights
    1 x " T F1 bib shorts
    1 x Castelli free shorts
    plus Assos/Castelli/Rapha sox,baselayers,armwarmers

    Me:
    Rapha l/s jerseys x 3
    Rapha s/s jerseys x 4
    Rapha s-shell jkt
Rapha s-shell gilet AND lightweight gilet
Rapha stowaway rain jkt + original jkt
    Assos Intermediate jerseys x 2
    Assos 851 jkt
    Assos waist shorts x 4
    Assos bib shorts x 3
    Santini/Nike/Specialized bib shorts
Northwave + Santini Roubaix bib shorts
    Assos three quarter shorts
    Assos tights x3
    Specialized tights
    plus Rapha/Assos/Castelli base layers,sox,gloves,armwarmers.

Quite ridiculous really but when you commute every day you soon start to run out of kit and then you want something new. Some of the Assos stuff is a few years old (5 +) but still fits, looks good so worth it. Same with the Rapha kit.

Now, I'd quite happily buy a lot of stuff from Prendas. their quality and pricing is excellent whereas Assos/Rapha are just getting o/priced imo

I should write for a cycling mag. Brian at TWMP gets to keep a lot of his review stuff and it's a long list of clothing altho' he would prob. swap it all to keep the C59 he reviewed. He still can't get any joy from Assos tho - shame

    seven

but I always pick the same one out of the drawer (The Foska Flag Saltire) because it is by far the most comfortable of the lot and always has been.

oh, and also perhaps because, unlike all the others, the design cunningly masks the contours of my trophy cabinet (i.e. the place I keep a visible memento of all the beer I have ever drunk :( )

  • loads including one from all the teams/clubs I have ridden with.

Might have to have a clear out soon... ebay my Saeco one (the kappa one from 2004), my 700c/Business objects one (obscure Aussie team), my Oktos MBK one (too small now), my zebra print Domina Vacanze one (too big).

Will let you all know when they go on e-bay!

    I use about 5 regularly.
