"...and were in fact docile and tame." I wonder why?
I'd guess they were also peckish for some Monstor Munches and found everything so VERY funny. 8)

Skinning a bear should aggro every bears!
Don't ask...
Anyhoo, kinda cool story. I can see them now, sitting back in their bear chairs, smoking a joint!http://www.youtube.com/user/Eurobunneh - My Youtube channel.0 -

The kid was injured. The bull was killed. I'm afraid I'm for the bull. He didn't ask to be chucked in an arena and chastised and goaded.Expertly coached by http://www.vitessecyclecoaching.co.uk/

Report didn't say the bull was killed. It wasn't a bullfight.0

Unfortunately the later and longer 2-part ITV report states:The incident occurred during a contest of "recortadores" when brave participants attempt to dodge the bull as it runs frantically around the arena. Spectators and officials later tied a rope around the bull to get it under control. The animal was removed from the arena by a crane and later killed.

So, technically, no, it's not a bullfight but it's all about winding an animal up and the bull's reward for getting wound up is death.0 -
The bull was killed, I'm sure because he gored people in the audience shock horror and not because he was injured and they couldn't save him.
Spain continues to slaughter animals in this way for 'sport' and fun. I'm continually disgusted by their heritage quite honestly.0 -
I cannot believe they are going to put some innocent bears down, just because they like to hang with humans.0

I stand corrected...and agree that my sympathies are back with the bull.0

Unfortunately the bears become used to humans and pose a threat. Some places do look after them. Great animals and v.impressive close-up. I've seen them in North America doing their bear-thingsM.Rushton0
