road bike for climbing

we that to do well on climb is with less weight on the bike. so if set aside your strength and stamina, what is a good set up for a road bike to do long climbs?
ride like the wind... with the wind... to the wind...

    That the gears match the terrain and your fitness - no point in running 39x21 if you don't have the legs to turn it over, regardless of how light the bike is - a rider riding 34x25 on a heavier bike has a distinct advantage
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    so it comes back again to your own strenght and stamina rite... so to do well on hills is to do more hills... understood then... :lol:

    Yup, just ride hills..on our winter club rides, particularly the hillier ones, I made the point of rding an old steel-framed bike or even fixed gear - there's a certain satisfaction about getting to the top of the climbs first on the heaviest bike..
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
