Hi all,

I'm doing a frame transplant after ruining my last bike's frame.

Everything has gone smoothly so far.

I need a new front mech because it's the wrong size and i'm going to have to get the right tool to remove the bottom bracket.

Before i do though, could someone tell me:

If i remove this BB

Will it fit this new frame?

Everything measures the same, they're about 35mm diameter and 68mm wide.

Is there anything else I'm missing though??

Thanks.

It sounds as if they are both English BB size so you should be OK. Italian is 70mm wide, has RH thread on both sides and is slightly larger diameter.

So the difference between internal/external and all that other stuff doesn't matter in this situation?

As long as it matches your crankset it will be ok?

No that is exactly what does matter with the frame. But as long as they are the same then it will fit.
Octalink only come in double or triple length so if it matches the cranks they will also fit.
