Is this possible and safe?

I need to raise my left leg abit as it's shorter than my right, I've got SPD-SL pedals/cleats

Anyone tried it themselves?

Thanks.

No reason why not if you can find some plastic material or aluminium the right thickness and cut it to shape.
You will probably need longer bolts though.

    No, a successful one....

I've used some plastic washers and some longer bolts in the past and also made a cleat -ish shaped shim from a 2mm thick metal sheet. gave up on it in the end though- just accepted that i set the seat height for my shorter leg. tbh if there isnt a huge difference you can probbaly manage.. If you want to gt it right you prob need a bike fit?

I put a few bits of cardboard underneath the inner sole inside the shoe. Works for me.

No way you can cover 2cm difference with shims. Just set the saddle height for the average and learn to live with it. Very few people have exactly the same length legs although the difference is often due to bad posture. Sort that and they will be close.
Or fit a shorter crank on the short leg side.
