Hi all,
I've just moved my drivetrain over from my old hardtail to a new full suss frame with the same width bottom bracket (72mm). I've got 2 spacers drive side and one on the other same as before but for some reason I now can't get the non drive side arm right on to the drive side one in order to fit the plastic grommit thingummyjig. What's the craic? How is this even possible? Enquiring minds want to know.
Thanks,
Dan

That'll be 73, but any how if what you've said is correct - it should fit exactly the same.....0

IIRC on a 73mm bb you only need one shim and on a 68mm on you need 3.
In fact here you go:

maybe it's not all the way in? give it a wiggle or a gentle hammering? did'nt stick a load of lube on the axle? did that with mine and it would'nt go all the way through, don't think it needs any really?0

nothing you wrote is correct"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Indeed. You're all right DO'H!
I was convinced my Marin had a 73 bb but it appears I was completely wrong. Should have measured it first. Removed two of the spacers and it's *now* fitting properly :oops:0
