How do I remove my brake calipers?

just undid the allen bolt behind the forks but the calipers are still on. cant seem to move the nut on thje front. either its siezed up or i'm not supposed to move it.

baffled.....:(

    It is sticking in the fork.

    The 'nut' is a long tube that runs through the fork to support the braking moment. They have a lot of surface area so there is quite a lot of potential for friction.

    Take the wheel out, apply a judicious squirt of WD40 in there and wiggle it until it comes loose.
