right i have a fox RP2, i believe it is time for its servicing very soon, i go to france in august, so i am planning to do it when i get back, but i what i want to know is:

Is it difficult?

I have read numerous manuals, from different authors, from different magazines, from different websites, and they are all good i understand them, so is just a case of buying the seals from mojo and cracking on with it? or should i be watching out for anything?

anyone had any problems

also is it as easy to service a revelation fork?

its easy to service any shock or fork as long as you keep everything clean, use the right tools, take photos along the way so you remember what order things came in and take your time

    I would say it depends.

What are you doing, if just servicing the aircan, then that is a piece of piss and takes minutes.

If you are expecting to do a full service including damper, you can't. It has specialist tools and requires you to be able to pressurise the damper with N afterwards.

The air can service should be done every few months, it is easy.

If you think it needs a full service (mine just blew a seal in the damper a week before a trip to Fort William) then get it done by TF Tuned or Mojo.

Both are supposed to be very good, and both can customise the shock to your weight/riding style for a small fee. ALWAYS GET THIS DONE
Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?

    thanks for the reply
  • There are excellent instructions/ videos of the whole procedure on the Mojo website.
