  Yes, yes they would. Reason being is that it's a good bike and they happen to own it, similarly people will also recommend Trek 1.whatever and Specialized Allez etc etc
  
  Personally i would recommend a Kuota Ksano or a Cannondale R500 CAAD2, can't think why though

  I ride one, and i recommend it!
  
  There are many makes and models with similar specs and prices, so make sure it's the one that fits you best!

  I've got a 2.5 and for the money it's as good as any bike I've ridden.
  
  Personally think it's worth the upgrade fro mthe 3 to get the better shifters.
