Or rather a very clean one at the moment! :D

A great DJ frame in a beautiful Pearlescent Orange finish.

Still planning the build at this stage. I'm thinking of going 9spd.

Any suggestions most welcome. :)

    Freeride Lite? Extreme XC? Hardcore Meander? Bimblecore? Come on man, give it a marketing label! :wink:

    (bimblecore - shamelessly plageurised from STW :lol: )

    Been looking at DJ frames recently at that has to be one of the nicest, colour is awesome and I really like the polished headset against the orange.

    Hi all
    Thanks for all your kind comments on the new frame (new to me, got it 2nd hand on fleabay).

    As far as components go I have chosen tried and tested stuff that I know works well for me. I would have liked to have anodized bits clashing with the orange frame colour such as blue or red. Unfortunately, to keep the cost down, I've had to use spare bits and parts from my hack bike.

    yoohoo, I'm surprised you haven't got the frame already, and you've placed wicked ideas in my head. As a result, a few tango X0 bits have been ordered!

    Here are the bits I already have;
    Wheels - Halo Freedom Disc

    Forks - Rockshox Pike 20mm bolt thru

    I'll post more piccies when these are fitted and more parts when I get 'em.
    Cheers

    :lol::lol: Yeah! Not much choice seeing I have to use the bits I already have.

    I would have loved to have gone for a blue and orange build with hope hubs and blue Spank Tweet Tweet rims, bars, stem etc.

    Here's a taster of Orange and White;

    Wheels with Maxxis Advantage 2.4s fitted

    And now the rear wheel (with cassette fitted) placed into the frame. :D

  • did the bars and forks come off your pitch?
    I think you will have a very fine collection of bikes when you have finished this build
    I assume this is French petrol - be careful in reverse - the car will retreat rapidly at the least provocation.

    Yeah, all off the Pitch (the hack bike), even the Halo Freedoms, which I've had on hack for a while now.

    Not sure if the Pikes are up to the job, but they'll have to do for now. Wound the travel down to 120mm.

    Finished the build at eleven this evening. Just gotta index the gears and test ride tomorrow.

    I'll take pictures of the complete bike in daylight, but I've taken close ups of some of the components tonight.

    Makes me laugh though - I thought this was supposed to be a little 'project' involving old bits and pieces, and yet again you've turned it into another superbike :lol::lol::lol::D
