Excellent-that link to llangollen-Corwen-Dee valley sounds great as well. I'm lucky to live about 7 miles away from Llandegla, can't believe this is all happening on my doorstep-cool!

definitely looking forward to see the developments in and around Blaenau (the Llechwedd DH tracks).
I happen to be good friends with one of the people in charge, so I've known about this for quite some time, and just keep getting more and more excited :D

Whaddya mean, Miles away from me? Move, I did,
Essex to Anglesey, Bangor, now Caernarfon,

Was WCU Asst Nat Coach/Regional Development officer, but...
Was like banging my head against a brick wall to get MTB recognised.

Was all Road, and with the then new Newport Velodrome, track.

So...7 years later... About Bloody Time!!!

Search for "Nth Degree Mtb" to see us.

ahh the good old ERDF: i'm hoping to get some £ to repoint the front of my house!

informal llangollen-llandegla-corwen link already exists 8) wonder if the trail will be along the same route?

brilliant news though...direct EU funding = fab, it seems like all the rest of the wales budget gets diverted by the jokers in the assembly and spent within a 20 mile radius of cardiff

Tell me about it. I was meant to set up a video conference between our boss and the assembly in Caaaaaaardif once. I told them no way, we're properly out in the styx, and only have around 1.5Mb peak bandwidth, which is shared among 25 staff.
    the reply?

"But we're only in Cardiff ourselves you know, and we can do video conferencing no problem."

Best Vid conf I had... me in Plas Menai, and,

ALL the WCU Board in the Welsh Institute of Wales, KAIIIRRRRDDIFFFF...

Got into a row with one of the board - tosser LBS owner - who never organised an event, coached, tutored, taught, raced or had been on an Mtb in his life.

    TWOT!

Plas menai has some pretty substantial broadband though. You know where I work (I think) so you should know it really is in the middle of bloody nowhere!

(we've got around 18Mb/s down now though, and about 2Mb/s uploads - which is neis iawn!)

more of general north-south thing really.

its the WAG politicos, quangos and aparatchicks my beef lies with, rather than our southern, ahem, brothers and sistrs, who MAINLY dont suscribe to the carrdiff-centric mindset where the capital IS wales and wales the capital.

anyway looking forward to the bike developments for n.wales (and new pointing)

Edit............and detailed descriptions of your new ride splotty!

    I hear your pain, Brother!

Why do you think they didn't renew my contract?
Yep...coz I told it as it is, and they didn't like the Truth!

We have 500,000 people in N.Wales during the Summer, and they think the place is deserted and void of intelligent Life up here.

    And...I'm FROM Cardiff!

You right, Boy, you TOTALLY RIGHT.

PS, My frame/bike will be awsome. The torture...begins.

Surely Adi Walls and the NWMBA will be on your Team?

Now, maybe, JUST MAYBE, you gonna get your dues... y'all been waiting so long.

Went to see a quarry over there, with the aforesaid Mr Walls, as well as other poss venues for Mtb.

    When I approached the WCU..

Well, Laugh...I'm sure their trousers are still drying.
