    Looks like a generic catalogue frame, nothing special.

    Sorry about pic sizes, i will try and get some bigger ones. I`v never seen a generic catalogue frame with DMR componants, and this sort of quite complex rear shocker, its too well made to be a catalogue cheapy, i have a slight incling that its American maybe 10-15 yrs old, frame number is h8g002428 i think as the paint on the bottom bracket is quite thick

    hmm, might be totally way off the mark here, but ancient proflex maybe?
    EDIT: Nah, scratch that idea, just had a look and my memory is way off base.

    That appears to be a Noleen shock, which belies the cheap catalogue look of the frame!

    Either way, it's a very old single pivot frame with a shock from a now-defunct manufacturer, and you're not gonna get another one in those dimensions!

    I wouldn't use it myself.

    Yes, I noticed that when I looked at the pics again, I was on the 'cheap catalogue bike' mindset, got in with the sneaky edit!

    It ain't a URT, is a single pivot lol.

    Could be an old Animal/K2 frame I suppose.

    The stickers on the frame are just from a magazine.

    I think you're bang on. That's what I had in mind but I incorrectly remembered them as being proflex bikes

    I would say the Animal K2 is a very good shout. The Noleen shock would make sense then.

    Proflex became K2 basically, so you're weren't far wrong!

    That one's got one of those shocks with the natty electric lockout thing, that was really rubbish!

    No no, the paint job is as horrific as the ride quality or the longevity of the shock!

    super is right, it's an old K2 Beast frame (it could well be an Animal, but I think that came with a different shock. I seem to recall had a 'smart' electric damper)

    that picture is from 1997 or so. It's amazing how long headtubes were back then eh?
    I don't think my Fox came with a steerer tube long enough to fit that when it was new!

    hahaa, we have a result, i`v` just looked at some other images of the k2 beast and it looks spot on, although frame size is different and the name noleen on the shock rings a bell, i was trying to find it in my garage earlier to get the name off it, i cant believe that that yellow colour was an actual sale model colour,it looks like the sort of thing youd` let your 3 yr old do. Anyway, i did consider building it, but looking at its age and condition and quite rarity it may have to go to fund my current ride, so we`ll have to see if somebody fancies a retro ride project,its a shame its in the condition it is,,,thanks guys

    I rode with a bloke who was using one, complete with triple clamps, up until a couple of years ago, think it broke eventually! It weighed a ton! An actual metric ton, 1000kg of bike!

    Ah, the K2 Animal. I remember them well, it was the first real full suspension bike I rode. It had a massive 5 inches of rear travel and was considered a DH bike back then.
    Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Epsilon.
