Does anyone know what exactly is inside the Brain on a specialized enduro? The one i got is leaking and i was wandering how difficult it is to rebuild it myself or whether or not it is a specialist job only. I am assuming it is the brain that is leaking, could be one of the joints that needs a new washer as there is fluid all over it. Anyone able to help????

The shock or the brain by the back wheel?

its basically a chamber with fluid in it. the "brain" part is a weight that sits within the fluid.

The idea is this weight sits down in a valve, preventing the fluid from traveling and locking the shock off automatically.
When you hit the rough stuff the weight is disturbed and unseated, allowing fluid transfer and activating the shock.

it is on the specialized website somewhere.

Are you sure it's an Enduro you've got? The Brain was only fitted to the Epic and Stumpjumper.
Regardless of what bike it is your best bet is to take the complete shock and brain assembly off and send it to TF Tuned for a service. Should cost around £85.
The brain is pressurised with nitrogen at the factory so you can't do a lot with it yourself if it develops a leak.
