Hi all, can i change the 6" rotor to an 8"? Apart from a Shimano 8" rotor, what else do i need?
I dont really want to replace the whole front brake set up due to cost as i have only just bought the bike.(have not even got it yet, delivery will be in 2 weeks due to no stock!)
The bike is a 2010 Kona Stinky Six.

Cheers, Matt

well first off do you really need to change it?

is the fork warranted for a 203mm disc?

you will also meed the correct adaptor.

I have ridden a few bikes with a bigger front discs and i prefer them for my style of riding.
I actually want a 180mm front rotor than a 203mm, glad you picked upon that.
As far as i can work out all i need is a Shimano mount adapter front post to IS 180mm and a 180mm XT 6 bolt disc rotor.
