Tempted to get Di2 and put it on my ROI.

Does the off the shelf groupset you buy allow you to install externally?

Does anyone know if "Di3" is in the works in the near future?

You can retrofit Di2 if that's what you mean by external?

Only rumours right now, but I read something about a potential MTB electronic groupset that might be called Di3

Personally I would only have Di2 if the frame was optimised for it. i.e. battery located within the seatpost (for instance), cables routes internally etc.

Lots of wires there - I'm not convinced by it yet.
  • rumours of a wireless version with several smaller batteries in the shifters/mechs. like a remote control. electronics are simple for this but I cant see how it could be safeguarded against hacking into other peoples gears.

I cannot internally route the wires on the ROI.

Quite tempted to buy the Focus Di2 just for the groupset and wheels

    Going to revive this....

What is the best price for the groupset in UK or EU?
