Fitting carbon bars

Hiya,
Just bought some Truvativ NOIR carbon bars to fit on a Syncros FL stem. The instructions suggest to use friction paste. The bars already has a sort of bumpy sticky coating on the contact patch with the stem.
Is friction paste really necessary at the recommended 6nm torque value ?
Should friction paste also be applied to the shifter and brake levers ?
Can I use Dijon mustard instead of friction paste ?
if not, where do I find friction paste and which one is best ?
Thanks.
Nick

Unfortunatly you cant use the mustard, save it for your sandwiches
The best paste is the Pace RC005 stuff as recommended by bikeradar and me, cant remember where i got mine from though
there is plenty of different types about though, they all do the job as well as each other really0 -

Thanks guys, appreciated. £8 should not break the bank, just.
Shall i use it for the brake levers and shifter to minimise torque ?0
