third party cables

hi,

just wondering about replacing my gear cables (shimano)
as the indexing is not quite right

whats recomended as a replacement set (inners and outers)? can be third party if they work better??

    Using a decent cable cutter and preparing the ends of the outers has more bearing on the quality of the shifting than the cables themselves IME. Unless your outers are bent or kinked I' try replacing the inners first. Jagwire , Gore and Goodrich do good quality cable kits IME.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    +1 - your LBS will have cables and outers for little money, just cut to the right length and on they go, not hard to do ....
