Hi iam looking to buy new spd shoes and pedals. Ive been riding flats so iam not clued up on spd. The pedals have to be fairly light and easy to clip in and out and i was looking at the specialized tahoe shoes as i have wide feet any advice would be gratefull

Shimano M520s are a good place to start. Don't cost much in case you don't like them, are damn near indestructible and they work! As for shoes, I get on alright with Shimano, but I think my feet are a bit on the narrow side- just try a few and see.
Rock Lobster 853, Trek 1200 and a very old, tired and loved Apollo Javelin.
