Hey iv been riding a specialised epic for last couple of years but need something a bit burlier for the riding I do. Trouble is I dont have the cash to buy a completely new bike. I just saw the review for the fuel EX5 and was wondering whether it would be a good idea to buy the Trek fuel frame then replace most of the other parts with my epic parts?
If that were the case apart from the rims what other parts would need to be changed? and could i run this bike with a 140mm fork?
cheers!

I am pretty sure these are 120mm max at the front. Possibly 130mm.
Have you seen a frame after market, and how much? They can in many cases cost the same as a whole new sale bike.0 -
130 mm max at the front IIRC. If you want to run 140 mm, I'm not sure the Fuel Ex is the bike for you - if you know what I mean.0
