Conti Ultra sport, they came with the bike, holding up very well but I am looking to get some Vitoria Tyres when mine wear out.

That reminds me I need to check pressures and give the tyres a once over :P

used Conti Town and Country when using a MTB to commute.
FCN: 5/6 Fixed Gear (quite rapid) in normal clothes and clips :D

Some shiny new 23c Ultrasports, I used Zaffiros before which are nice for commuting, they were very predictable and relatively wide for a 23c. The Ultrasports need you too keep paying attention as they are a lot more responsive.

Michelin Krylion 700x23c. I've had them for a year (only 500 miles), only had one puncture which was my own fault for not checking the tyre pressure. Bit slick, though I've never had an off either.

Are the Duranos essentially a road version of the Marathon Plus?

I got a Schwalbe MP for the front to reaplce a Kenda Kommuter (Conti Travel Contact rear) - hefty things. :/

Kind of made me lead towards raod vs cycle paths when not "commuting" :p

25mm Gatorskins. They seem to be the weapon of choice in The Peak and especially on sheffield's crappy pave.

Very pleased with them. Excellent compromise tyre for my commute which is part bridleway, part road.

    Currently using:

    Conti Gatorskin
    Conti GP4000
    Conti GP4000s
    Michelin Krylion Carbon
    Schwalbe Durano Plus
    Schwalbe Marathon Plus

The all have their benefits and their pitfalls. My current favorites are the Krylions, but that will probably change on a whim.

    Race - Fuji Norcom Straight
    Sun - Cervelo R3
Winter / Commute - Dolan ADX

Never tried the Marathons, but they are a great commuting tyre. Have been used them for the last five months. They are heavy, but I don't mind that - good for training. They're not as grippy as my Conti GP 4000Ses, but that's not a problem for the commute.

Have used Krylions and Gatorskins (23 and 25mm versions) for the commute, too, and my favourites are the Duranos. :)

    Gatorskins too (folding 23c)

Tried Schwalbe Luganos (came with the bike) but punctured too easily

Also tried Bontrager RaceLite HardCase but they also punctured

Gatorskins are fine provided they stay well-inflated

I take a longer curve though Bushy Park and so on.

so my choice is big wide marathon pluses, I use the bike all year around had one fairy visit 2 years ago, a large screw that. just got though.

but the choice of tires is depended on use, what do you value?

Gatorskins in 28mm, wire bead for me. I've had 1 p****ure in 1500 miles (a flint shard, natch) where I had none in 3000 miles with the Spesh Nimbus Armadillos that I had on it previously but, God, the Gators roll sooo much better...

26x1.3 WTB slickasaurus, stick well, no PF visits yet and roll quite nicely, reasonably light and fast rolling, for some reasons though they are really noisy on one small part of my commute, surface is different but can't put my finger on what is different about it that makes the tyre noisy over it, no excess noise on my previous tyre.

    Tyres currently in use:

Halo twin rails on the CX. Very hard wearing, not completely p ** proof, but fairly fast rolling

Conti sport contacts on the tourer. Slick, p** free in 4000 miles

Vittoria zaffiros on the road bike. OK so far, but too early to tell really.

Using Vittoria Rubino (the cheap £10 version). I'm very impressed with these so far - 500 miles 'n no punctures on london roads 'n bus lanes. They also come in cool colours ;)

I've also purchased some Continental City Contacts for the ole MTB, not delivered yet tho :(

    That film's great :D

On the commute a mixture of conti gatorskins and gp 4 seasons. The 4 seasons are a bit expensive but are grippy, fast, bullet-proof* and last for ages

Schwalbe Marathon Plus Smartguard City Tyre (700 x 35mm). I ride through a patches of cut hawthorn on a regular basis that punctures most tyres. These are bombproof, my only concern is puncture resistance.
