Non-standard disc rotor on Hope hubs - help needed

I've got a pair of disc wheels with non-standard Hope hubs from circa 2005/06 (probably) where the rotor attaches using a 5-bolt pattern to what looks like a centre-lock type fixing. I've posted a picture at http://www.twitpic.com/1rjr1f

I want to move to 160mm rotors so that I can use a wider range of brakes but can't find any replacement rotors that have this size 5-bolt pattern. Any ideas?

If anyone is wondering the original brakes were Hope XC4 150/130mm but have long since died a death and have gone up to MTB heaven.

Are they Hope 'Big uns? I seem to remember they had a non standard disc mount.

I don't think they are 'Big Uns but they could be the XC hubs and I've now found a reference that states they both used a 5-bolt fixing for rotors. That might be the answer, thanks.

are the early Hope splined fitting on the hub.

talk to Hope for any luck. and by Talk use the phone.

not sure if the BCD is the same as the big-un or not.

here is a better pic of the fitting.

  • Hi all can anyone tell me of a specific tool to remove these type of rotors from the hub?
    thanks.
