Drive train overhaul on defy 3 (09)

Want to replace the bog standard chainset, F and R derailleurs on my defy 03
Overlooking the requirement for tools, BB cups et. al. would the following work with 9 speed Tiagra (F&R)?

    yes it would. FYI there is an ultegra chainset on the classifieds for £115
