TT Bike sizing

I thought I'd try the forum as the web is struggling to provide an answer.

The question is how does your TT bike sizing relate to your road bike's size. Looking to get a TT bike for short (probably up to 50 but mostly 10 and 25) distance TTs.

In particular, I'm 5'9" with a 29" legs and long arms for my height (ape proportions have been suggested by friends) and, as a result, currently use a 570mm top tube with a 120mm stem.

What sort of measurements do you reckon would work on a TT bike?

Cheers

Dave

From what I have gleaned, TT frames are smaller than road frames.
I have 52 & 54cm road bikes, with a 48cm (compact) bike, and just bought a Giant TT frame, sized Small. It seems to fit perfect...
I bought a second hand frame and bars, and built up the bike from new parts & spare bits from my garage. Once I have the frame spot on, and I'm sure that TT's are for me, then I'll transfer the measurements to a new frame... Maybe!
