Cycleops Powertap hub sytem.

Have been considering getting some power measuring kit... Cycleops seem to offer the best value for money with their hub power measuring system. However, a rear wheel with powertap hub built in is going to knock-me-back about £800. I have seen this:

for sale on Ebay and I think I could get a rear wheel built up for around £460 - which aint a bad saving... is the risk worth the punt?
