i have a set of 2009 RS recon SL 100mm coil forks that are described on merlin's site ( where i bought them ) as ; " travel adjust / all travel "
does this mean the travel can be increased by the removal of internal spacers ?
and what sort of lengthening is usually available , 20mm or more ?
thanks peeps.

Recon SL is generally 80 or 100mm depending on the spacer. Some maybe 120mm: only way is to open them up and look.0

sounds risky lol , dont wont to bugger them up as they're working beautifully.
thanks anyway for the reply SS , i take it there are variations on the internals even for similar models ?0 -
Yep, OE models vary.
It is fairly easy to do - have a look at the RS service guides.0 -
Is there any way to tell externally whether the forks are 'all travel' or not, ie OE spec ones (that cannot have the travel changed ?).
Cheers

nope you need to look inside. being provided with some spacers when you got the fork is also a clue."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
