Will normal pliers cut hydraulic housing?

so, will they? cause i got new brakes and housing is way too long

    They might, but the ends will probably fray and you might squish the inner hose

    I did my Avid's with a Stanley knife (with a brand new blade).

    Or as i suggested in another thread, a dremmel with a thin cutting disc :) nice clean, straight cuts.

    No question Stanley knife will give you the cleanest cut and will let you cut it straight which is just as important.

    rest it on a block of wood when you cut it.

    Yep, not surprising that this is best, the 'proper' tools to cut brake hose often have a stanley blade as the cutter.
