This my seem like a silly question, but how do cranksets like these:-

have the chainring attached to them? I've got 5 bike at home and they all have cranksets that have got the 4 bolts in a + shape at the bottom bracket end that then bolt onto the chainring. I'm looking to get a really cheap singlspeed chainset for a DJ project i've got going.
Never put off until tomorrow something that you can do today. 'Cause if you do it today, and like it, the you can do it again tomorrow!!

They look like BMX cranks. The centre hole of the sprocket is an exact fit and is secured by one bolt.

They say they're MTB cranks though, and there's lots more like that, that say MTB.
