Chain Suck????

Hi
I've not long purchased a new bike and really like it. The one thing it does though, when in top gear (big ring front, small ring back) and I stop pedalling, the chain seems to get pulled up and makes a racket on the chain stay. I also noticed that when I pedal backwards (I know, you pedal forwards ) the chain seems to stick to the big ring and clatter on the front mech.
Is this what is known as chain suck and if so how do you stop it?
The bike is a Whyte 901 and had Sram 950 chain, X9 rear mech and Truvativ Firex chainset if that helps.
Cheers All

nope this is not chain suck.
it sounds like either the grease in the freehub still needs spreading about a bit or there is something causing excess friction in it."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
