Had a bit of a nasty fall this morning on the way to work. For those of you that know it, I was riding along the transpenine from Manchester to Speke where I work. Just before the Runcorn bridge there is a small section that goes through a little housing estate past the mersey pub and then down a steap block paved ramp towards the river bank, the ramp then bends right at the bottom along the river.
Normally because its block paved, and quite damp and mossy due to its location, I am very ginger over it, but this morning I was feeling confident and flew down it. tried to turn the right hand bend and down I go. Completely washed out.
Thankfully I took the brunt of the force so my bike seems fine, but my knees and elbows have been skinned and are now nicely swollen and very painfull!
