Hopefully doing some riding, and photography.

What's the deal with Andy the mod? She seems to be on that time of the month or something. Far more unnecesarily unpleasant than usual.

im not sure i can tell the difference!!

    Van hire booked........check
    Luxury B&B in Pickering booked........check
    2 days riding in Dalby.............check
    Lots of fun and beer.........check

    So what could go wrong?

Perhaps a deal at work not reaching financial close today like it was bloody supposed to which means my week of working 20 hours a day is going to continue until the banks reopen on Tuesday morning!

And how could that be made even better? I have to do the whole lot from another firm in London so I can't even take my shoes off around the office :(

Oh yeah, and I obviously don't get paid for any of it because lawyers don't get overtime, which is unfortunate because if I did I would be buying houses made of carbon fibre.

This actually happens waaaay to often. I've missed my own birthday party before. That was fun.

  • Revision tomorrow, work saturday, Revision sunday!

    Pub on saturday
    BBQ sunday afternoon.

And somewhere in between, sort my forks out, get my chain cleaned up and get that squirt lube on it, and take my rear cassette off and get that cleaned up.

All in an exciting weekend. Not.

Just because I asked if you were autistic? It was a serious question by the way.

    ha ha I wish mate!

not that many non-law jobs, that a lawyer would be suitable for anyway, pay even half as much as I would need to keep the same house and lifestyle etc.

so yeah, I could quit, but it would mean changing my (and my girlfriend's) entire life in the process and there's no guarantee that I would be any happier, just a lot poorer.

never, ever tell your kids to get into corporate/commerical law. You sell your soul

On the upside, it could be worse. I could be overworked and skint. Or ugly. ;)

i feel your pain about mssing things due to work, this christmas was the first i had in 5 years where i could drink and travel further than 30 minutes from camp due to duty. i almost wanted something to occur so it would have had a point. but thankfully of course it never did.

it would be funny if i wasnt going back there in about 18 months  mind you, i happily take my wages so i shouldnt complain.

a mate of mine specialises in international tax law, boring as shit and she hates it but it pays HUGE sums of money so she stays and does it. i'm not sure i could sell out like that. that's why i'm poor

i must admit, the perks are good. I've just been booked into the Grange St Pauls for 6 nights until this project finishes, and my secretary apologised because that was the only one our travel department could get me into! (for those that have never been, it's hardly what you would call slumming it!)

It's still not worth it though. I'd rather have my life back! :)
