my wellgo pedals came with my bike... had them for 2 yrs now. long to replace them with something nicer (shimano mx30 in my mind). however, they wont give me excuse to take them off. they have been through fair amount aduse and bully... but they still rolling fine, griping well..... just cant kill it.

Wellgo's are tough old buggers
Good thing to considering they make a lot of other manufacturers pedals0 -

i think i just want to replace them for sake of it... but there are nothing wrong with them.
i think it is a quite a mission to kill it.0 -

Because wellgo make most of the pedals you see. Except crank bros.0

Because they are cheaper than everything else so everyone turns their noses up at them0 -
Leave your bike outside for a few months. Then check them.0

They may after that0 -
my bike now been living at my balcony for half a year now... not that I dont love it, but there is no space at my new flat. it is sheltered from rain however not moist in the wind. it is heart breaking to see couple of bolts starts to rust, i am getting a bike stand so I want to store it within my flat.
anyway.. they are still fine. i mean, i can hear noise in the bearings, but they are spining well. i really abuse them since I got them. i rode trail, ok not jumping or big drops, rough terran, 2-3 ft drops, coverd in mud, jet-washed it, didnt re-grease them or service them at all.... well, they still live.0 -

You monster!
You really should give them at least a bit of love lol.0 -
:P i know..... i just want them to give in so i can get new onesss
but i have to say i am very impressed by them0 -
My real V8's wouldn't give in either, they had play for ages, never greased them, abused them, whacked them off rocks a lot etc. etc.
I just gave up and bought some new pedals anyway
If anyone asked I said they the V8's were to small for my feet (they were) or I wanted red pedals
BTW, if you hadn't geused, DMR's are made by wellgo0 -
oh dear... sounds like they are going to make another year or two even..... no new pedals for me
how would people compair shimano mx30 to the wellgo mg1 ?0 -
not sure about the mx30 its self but the shimano m520 SPDS i think. that i got with my 06 kona dawg are still doing strong to this day after no servicing or loving and lots of abuse. i love when things just work to the point were you are able to forget about them and not worry at all.0
