I am after a 12-27 tooth rear cassette. I want something similar to what I already have, Ultegra 6600.

This is very difficult to get anymore and the new 6700 range done have that ratio.

Was wondering if the SRAM 1070 is compatible?

Any assistance is welcome.

I believe all SRAM is compatible with Shimano.
'm the opposite to you... I have SRAM Force groupset which I run with either 11-23, 12-25 & 12-27, all Shimano cassettes.

cassettes are compatible but shifters and mechs are not. so it will work only if you have ultegra mechs and shifters and sram block.
  • yes. sram PC1070 chain and OG1070 11-28 cassette here running on ultegra 6600SL chainset, DA 7800 shifters and derailleurs, no problems at all.

the SRAM powerlink chain is just too easy to fit, the cassette is quiet and shifts very smoothly, that 28 is always appreciated apart from the rather lumpy gaps it leaves in your gearing (28-25-22-19 is hardly perfect). 12-26 or 12-27 would seem like a good idea maybe.

cant mix sram/shimano shifters/derailleurs though as already stated.
