Yeah Soler is on form. Nice job Anton. Contador on form. Mosquera good. Pretty long stage and tons of snow. Would expect Contador to take the overall with the TT tomorrow.

Anyone noticed that the spanish feed translates Contador into accountant!

    Brilliant.

Good stage to watch. Very tough conditions at the top, so a great ride by Anton. Hasn't really fulfilled the potential he showed from the Vuelta a couple of years back, but maybe this'll be the year he steps up a gear.

Also caps a pretty good week for Euskaltel.

    GC:

    1. Igor Antón (Euskaltel-Euskadi) 12:45:12
    2. Alberto Contador (Astana) a 13
    3. Ezequiel Mosquera (Xacobeo Galicia) m.t.
    4. Janez Brajkovic (RadioShack) a 1:10
    5. Tiago Machado (RadioShack) a 1:21
    6. David Bernabeu (Barbot) a 1:23
    7. Javi Moreno (Andalucía-CajaSur) a 1:27
    8. Raúl Santamarta (Burgos 2016) a 1:31
    9. Denis Menchov (Rabobank) a 1:34
    10. Stefan Denifl (Cervélo) m.t.

    TT tomorrow:

Contador is a dead cert, but it'll be interesting (err, to me anyway) to see if Mosquera can stay on the podium. Machado is a threat.

If this was a PTP race I would pick Brajkovic for the TT.

Bertie didn't even look that out of breath either. Love the way he batted the guy on the motorbike out of the way just before one of the last corners...he's not afraid to use his fists that lad.

Look forward to seeing the highlights of a champion in action. So many wins this season already. If I have time I will start a thread on what supposed Grand Tour top tenners have done this season so there can be no doubt in anyone's mind who is the most complete and amazing rider and by how much he outclasses his peers as well as seeing who else is up there with good showings..

No he won't. He's won three Grand Tours and his record in the week long tours has always been pretty bad. Gesink - OK, he's done well in a couple of Vueltas, but nothing yet to suggest he's Menchov's superior.

No, when FF calls his beloved boy complete and amazing, it's an indisputable observation, not a piece of soppy hero worship. Everybody knows that.

    Final general classification

    1. Alberto Contador (Astana) in 16h56'01
    2. Igor Antón (Euskaltel-Euskadi) at 0'41
    3. Ezequiel Mosquera (Xacobeo Galicia) at 1'20

That's 3 overall wins for Contador in 1 week stages with a win in each so far this year.

Its a shame that Ezequiel doesn't get a contract with a bigger team. He is such a good climber.
