    Gesink for me.

Selections so far, plus alternatives for those who picked them:

Looking very likely now that Valverde won't start, but you never can tell with that guy... just when you think he's gone, he turns up again like a bad penny.

OO, Afx, that was an expensive Amstel Gold for you!

(not that I am remotely rubbing it in of course..)

I'm absolutely miles behind on the overall table anyway, so it doesn't really make much difference for me. Disappointed to see Gesink killing himself to bring back the breakaway though... for who?!

Ja that was my thought when I saw that.

You'd have to guess he was doing it for Freire.

Then again, I'd guess Gesink would go up the Cauberg faster than Freire.

    Odd.

Either way, Gesink really needs to work on his positioning before important climbs. I believe he even said in cycle sport the other month he prefers mountain stages where positioning is as much due to natural selection than anything else.

    p.s.

I'm regretting not putting in all the stage efforts for Tirreno and Paris-Nice!

If only you got double points for being the only one to pick a rider. Damn you Gilbert and your PTP acolytes ...

I think the first person to pick a point scorer in a PTP thread should get bonus points

Was wondering if anyone got him. A really good pick there
  • I think the first person to pick a point scorer in a PTP thread should get bonus points

Just rewards people who are on line more, or rather disadvantages those who don't/can't sit on the forums all day. Also we'd just end up with people trying to get their picks in earlier and earlier.

I.e. I'm going off travelling tomorrow, so could I register Contador for the TdF GC, Cav for Stages X, Y & Z and etc etc.
