This Sunday, 31 hills, a couple of hundred traffic islands, a few more hundred mini roundabouts, many many crashes... ahh, Amstel Gold.

    Oh.

    Oh, good spot.

Don't use the startlist on the AGR website, it's last year's.

    Another startlist here, http://www.cyclingstartlists.com/2010/0 ... el2010.htm

    But still dunno about Valverde.

    Velonews:

    Valverde for Caisse d’Epargne
Alejandro Valverde – a two-time winner at Liège-Bastogne-Liège – will try to add Amstel Gold to his burgeoning palmares.
The Spanish “green bullet” has fared well in the Ardennes, but isn’t typically counted as a favorite at Amstel Gold Race despite finishing third on the podium in 2008.
Caisse d’Epargne brings a strong squad to the hilly classics, with Luis León Sánchez and David López playing key support roles for the French-backed Spanish team.

If he keeps getting ill at this rate I'll be surprised if he finished the TDF without acquiring leprosy.
