I think it's out the same barra as the logo, the "it looks crap" barra.

The Olympic Monument will be a massive pile of debt for something few people give a toss about.

Let someone else bear the cost and we'll watch it on the telly.

Complete waste of money and looks like a collapsed helter skelter .
  • So, New York gets the statue of Liberty, and London gets some red pile of ****, what's next? First it was the stupid logo, now this....

It's almost as bad as that Big Bang sculpture they had in Manchester that where ended up falling apart, I can see the same thing happening to that pile of ****

The worlds biggest chocolate starfish would possibly have been more appropriate, perhaps with additional phallic structures copulating from multiple directions. However, it does manage to pictorially illustrate the downward spiral and rusting degeneration of the UK as a whole, it is only missing a plug-hole at the base.

Wouldn't fancy being the poor sod in 2017 who's given a brush and a bucket of Hammerite to "tidy it up a little".

By recycling the "B of the Bang" I suspect.....

The designer / architect? Anish Kapoor said he 'wanted the sensation of unstability'.

Which, if you gloss over the fact that "unstability" is a made up word, it's a perfect description for the potential donor.

  • not surprised at all but most of the cost is being stumped up by mittal though if its being contructed or donated through a charity, 40%of his contribution will be funded by tax payers. Even so a sizeable donation from the man about to enter the house of lords.
