Hi all
When my rear wheel is free-wheeling the cassette is wobbling slightly.
I've tried tightening the lock-ring and hub lock-rings.
Is it that i've not tightened it enough or is the freehub body bent?

If you get hold of the casette does it wobble/ feel slightly loose? If so you have a bit if play in the freehub. This is probably not a problem, however it can be cheaply replaced.
If the lockring is loose you should be able to tell as there will be a gap between the smalest sproket and the lockring. This could be caused by missing spacers, but that would be fairly obvious.0 -
It's an 8 speed cassette on an 8 speed hub so no need for spacers. I'll have a feel tonight to see if it's a bit loose but didn't when I last checked.
Free hub is only a couple of months old so can't see it being through wear. What wheels...? Wheelsmith.co.uk!0 -
sounds normal for a shimano hub."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
