I 've been commuting for a couple of years now - first on a crappy mtb and now on a nice second hand kinesis racelight. its not far at all - 3 miles or so each way. The thing is, on the way there is a 5 mile loop of mostly deserted cinder cycle track - ideal for me to get more miles in (safely when its dark) and get my weight down. I wouldn't really like to sell the racelight- its great on the tarmac parts. Do you guys think I need to adapt it to take in the cinder tracks, or would I be better selling it and getting a hybrid or something? thanks in advance

Go for the Crosslights - simples! :)

thanks cjcp- i've looked at the older frames and they are nice. like i say its a shame to sell my racelight though. is the crosslight that much stronger, or is it more about the geometry?

It's designed for cross racing, so a bit more robust. The geometry is different, too.
