Fox fork problems.

Right..... i have some Fox F100RL Remote 100mm, Remote-Lockout ) <--- i have those on my race bike.
Took them for a ride today over the chase, and they wouldn't move, they would only move if i put a lot of force but only a little bit and they would make a high pitch squeak noise.
they are only about 7 rides old, i don't abuse them, only 56kg.
is it the oil thickening ? I don't know why they are doing it, and i'm not sure if they should be doing ?
Can anyone shed any light on this for me ?

you had turned the lock out off?
how much sag had you set them at? (what air pressure?)"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

yes lock out off. air pressure set to my weight so 30-40 psi.
15% sag.
they were working fine before the ride. it was as soon as i got there they went wrongI do science, sometimes.0 -
Let all the air out. Do they still compress?0
-
they are fine when all the air is out. they compress all the way, as soon as the air is back in they will hardly move. there only 6 rides old/I do science, sometimes.0

Try 25% sag. If they are fully compressing with the air out, with no probs, then the damper is probably ok unless is spiking on big hits.0

will go try thtI do science, sometimes.0

But they still sag?0

noI do science, sometimes.0

So even the smallest amount of air means they lock firm, and you cant inflate for any sag?0

Ah, that does sound more like a damper problem, as if the lockout is locked on.
Strip and service I am afraid, or send away.0 -
they will move slightly but requires a lot of force to do so. with air or no air inI do science, sometimes.0

they are buggered.

Yep, I'd now say a damper problem if that is the case. I'd contact the seller if still under warranty.0

Hi, just wonderd what the outcome was in the end. The reson i ask is that my fox float 32 have started doing what you described and so would be interested to know what the problem was. Any help apreciated. thanks0
