Puncture Problems.......

Good morning all,
At the moment i am having real problems with punctures on a local canal tow path thanks to thorns. I have tried using slime filled tubes but still spend lots of time patching or changing by the canal side. Just wondering if this idea my help to prevent them.
I have a few old inner tubes lying around in the shed. If i was to trim them down and use them as a liner between the inside of the tyre and the inflated tube, would this be useable. I am a bit skint at the moment due to having to buy new tubes thanks to these punctures, so i don't really want to spend more money on the slime tape that would do the same job as a second tube.
Thanks
Andy J

check there are no thorns left in your tyre or rim (to check the tyre, go around the inside with a tissue, and any thorns will snag) and buy some dh tubes. a bit more expensive, and heavier, but a lot stronger0

alternatively if you run schraeder valves buy some stan's sealant and put some in each inner tube.0

I use those anti puncture tapes as well. I swear by them. Well worth the extra weight.0

Buy schwalbe tubes (all of them have removable cores) and use some stans inside. Or just go ghetto tubeless/stans conversion tubeless0

I used to have this problem all the time when i was younger. save up and get some decent tyres and dh tubes will stop the problem. Slime in my opinion is pish not worth the hassle or money.
as a quick fix for now take the tyres off clean them out as above.
But i think new tyres would solve ur problem
maybe some kind of 2.2 dh tyre♣♠♦♥ ژ a m e s w o o d s ♣♠♦♥
